The original agreement name is: Redwood City Bridges Repair <br />Project (Project). <br />Staff applied and obtained a federal grant from the FHWA through Caltrans for a reimbursement of <br />88.53% of the total cost of the Project, with a City matching share of 11.47%. As part of the Grant approval <br />requirements, the Project included the preparation of the Citywide Bridge Report, which has been <br />completed. The Project Plans and Specifications are at approximately 95% completion. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The environmental review of the Project has been subject to comprehensive studies and reiterative <br />reviews by Caltrans. The duration of the Project has been extended due to multiple submissions for review <br />and approval by various state and federal agencies. <br />The reviewing agencies have requested additional studies in order to obtain the environmental clearance. <br />Staff has applied for and obtained a Grant Scope and Cost Change from the FHWA through Caltrans to <br />increase the budget to an amount not to exceed $40,000.00. Proposed Scope and Cost Change approved <br />by Grantor is provided in Attachment A. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Federal Grant Scope and Cost Change was approved by Caltrans on October 26, 2018 to increase the Grant <br />by an amount not to exceed $40,000.00. <br />As of January 3, 2019, there are $548,000.00 available in the Bridge Rehabilitation -Construction Program, <br />Gas Tax Construction Fund. <br />If approved, the City would pay the Consultant using the Bridge Rehabilitation -Construction Program, Gas <br />Tax Construction Fund for the consulting services as completed; and subsequently will invoice the Grantor <br />for a reimbursement at a rate of 88.53%.
