JORDAN <br />DIRECTOR BARBARA PIERCE <br /> <br /> BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING <br /> 7:00 P.M. <br /> JULY 23, 2001 <br /> <br />Redwood City Charter, Section 54. "Board of Equalization", requires the annual meeting of the <br />Board of Equalization to begin at 10:00 a.m., on the third Monday on July 16, 20m. Due to the lack <br />of a quorum, the Annual Board of Equalization Meeting was adjourned from July 16, 2001 to July <br />23, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber. <br /> <br />Affidavit of Publication of Public Hearing Notice and Adjournment is on file in the City Clerk <br />Department. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER- 7:07 p.m. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> Board Members Present: Hartnett, Howard, Ira, Jordan, Pierce, Vice Chairperson Claire <br /> Board Members Absent: Chairperson Ruskin <br /> <br />3. PUBLIC COMMENT - None <br /> <br />4. PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br /> A. Submittal of Equalized General Improvement District 1-64 Assessment Roll; <br /> <br /> Financial Services Manager Freeman explained stated that the property owners in the <br /> district have been informed of the assessed value of their property and their right to appeal <br /> the assessment. If the appeal is filed by September 17, it will be heard by Board of <br /> Equalization on December 10. State Law requires a lien date of January 1, therefore, the <br /> Board is required to look at the value of the property as of this date.
