<br />Section 8. <br /> <br />Section 2.72 of the Redwood City Code is <br /> <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />All purchase contracts entered into <br /> <br />IISection 2.72 <br /> <br />by the City having cost in excess of Five Thousand and No/lOa <br /> <br />Dollars ($5,000.00), and all contracts for the performance of <br /> <br />any public work or improvement costing more than Five Thousand <br /> <br />and No/lOa Dollars ($5,000.00) shall be in writing and shall <br /> <br />be executed by the City Manager. II <br /> <br />Section 9. <br /> <br />Section 2.77 of the Redwood City Code is <br /> <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />IISection 2.77 <br /> <br />All contracts for public works or <br /> <br />improvements costing Five Thousand and No/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($5,000.00) or less, all contracts for personal services <br /> <br />for Five Thousand and No/IOO Dollars ($5,000.00) or less, <br /> <br />and all purchases of materials, equipment or supplies of <br /> <br />Five Thousand and No/IOO Dollars ($5,000.00) or less may be <br /> <br />entered into by the City Manager without written solicitation <br /> <br />or advertisement of public notice therefor, and without <br /> <br />observing the procedures prescribed herein for the awarding <br /> <br />of written contracts. <br /> <br />The City Manager may, if necessary <br /> <br />í <br /> <br />funds to provide for the materials, equipment or supplies <br /> <br />required have been appropriated, issue and execute purchase <br /> <br />orders therefor specifying the quantity, type and price of <br /> <br />materials, equipment or supplies to be obtained and the <br /> <br />terms and conditions of purchase, performance and delivery.
