INC. <br /> <br />July 30, 2006 <br /> <br />Mr. Charles Jany, AICP <br />City of Redwood City <br />Planning & Redevelopment Department <br />1017 Middlefield Road <br />Redwood City, CalifQrnia 94063 <br /> <br />RE: Contract Planning Services for the proposed Finger Vesting Tentative Subdivision and <br />Environmental Assessment <br /> <br />Dear Charles, <br /> <br />Thank you for inviting MHA Environmental Consulting, Inc. (MHA) to submit a proposal to provide <br />contract planning services to the City of Redwood City. The intent of the proposed service is to <br />assist the City with the overall management, review, and processing of the proposed Finger <br />Vesting Tentative Subdivision Map and Environmental Assessment, under the direction of the <br />Community Development Services staff. <br /> <br />Planning Services <br /> <br />Anticipated contract services include the following: <br /> <br />1) Attendance at up to six (6) meetings with City staff to understand the project and City <br />codes and procedures, to coordinate review of the proposed project among pertinent <br />departments, to review and receive feedback on preliminary work products, and to <br />receive direction regarding policy and procedural approaches. <br />2) Review of the project application, plans, and support documents, including but not <br />limited to the Vesting Tentative Subdivision Map. <br /> <br />3) Coordination of and attendance at up to one (1) background public meeting and/or <br />study session regarding the CEQA document. <br /> <br />4) Review of pertinent sections of the City's General Plan, Zoning Ordinance and related <br />codes and policies. <br />5) Conduct of up to two (2) project site reconnaissance visits, which may include <br />coordination with and participation by members of City staff, other public agencies, and <br />appointed and elected officials. <br /> <br />6) Coordination of and participation in up to three (3) meetings with the applicant and the <br />applicant's representatives. <br />7) Preparation of the Initial Study (IS) and Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND), <br />including distribution and preparation of all notices2 responses to all comments 1 and a <br />Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Plan (MMRP) . A Mitigated Negative Declaration is <br />the presumed CEQA document.
