ORIGINAL RCSD Agreement No. 200708-170 FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THIi: REDWOOD CITY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FOR THE AFTER SCHOOL EDUCATION AND SAFETY (ASES) PROGRAM, THIS AMENDMENT, entered into this 23 day of April, 2008, by and between the REDWOOD CITY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRiCT (hereinafter called DISTRiCT), a political subdivision of the State of California, and the City of Redwood City (hereinafter called CITY), W'l'l' N 'B'S:S: B'l' H WHEREAS, the parties entered into an Agreement for services for after school programs, enrichment services, educational support, after school evaluation and sustainability for Taft, Hoover, Hawes, Fair Oaks, John Gill, Selby Lane and Garfield Schools effective on July 1,2007, for a one-year period ending June 30, 2008, for an amount not to exceed $ 757,816; and WHEREAS, The funding for these programs comes from the state by way of the ASES grant for after school programs. In addition, the CITY provides approximately 50% of the total cost of the program. WHEREAS, the original term is still in existence, and the parties now desire to amend the Agreement to reallocate the original 3% of the ASES evaluation funding to the CITY to be expended for direct services to the students in the ASES programs for an additional amount not to exceed $ 33,391 which would augment the CITY's share to run the program; and WHEREFORE, THE PARTIES HEREBY AGREE TO AMEND THE AGREEMENT AS FOLLOWS: 1. Paragraph 12 of the Agreement is hereby amended to increase the maximum cost of contract services to $ 791,207 which includes a maximum obligation of$ 33,391 for this amendment agreement; and 2. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement dated July 1,2007 between DISTRiCT and CITY shall remain in full force and effect.
