EXHIBIT V <br />NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNER REGARDING OBLIGATION <br />TO PAY RELOCATION COSTS <br />CODE ENFORCEMENT <br />Date <br />Name <br />Address <br />City <br />SUBJECT: APPLICABILITY OF RELOCATION ORDINANCE # 2048 ON <br />TENANTS RESIDING AT STREET ADDRESS <br />Dear Property owner: <br />Pursuant to Resolution # (date) action by the City Council of the City of Redwood <br />City, this letter will serve to formally advise you that the Redevelopment Agency will <br />relocate your tenant from the above mentioned building immediately in accordance with <br />Council instructions. The family(ies) currently residing in unit(s) # _ _, _ has <br />been /will be provided with a permanent /temporary replacement unit and will. relocate <br />immediately. <br />In accordance with the terms of the Relocation Ordinance, the household will be entitled <br />to a fixed or actual moving expense. The fixed cost of $500 for household is based on <br />$300 moving expense and $200 dislocation allowance. The actual moving expense is the <br />actual cost charged by a professional moving company. The tenants are also entitled to <br />receive Replacement Housing Assistance payments equal to the difference between rent <br />and utilities paid at your unit and the cost of rent and utilities at the comparable <br />replacement unit times 48 months, not to exceed a payment of $5,250. Unfortunately, we <br />are unable to estimate those costs at this time, but will be able to provide you with that <br />estimate within the next few days after the comparable replacement unit has been secured <br />or, We have located a comparable replacement. <br />These costs will be passed on to you as the Ordinance requires and you may: <br />1) place the sum of the estimated costs on deposit with the Redevelopment Agency <br />(when actual costs have been determined), or <br />s <br />
