d) Repairs <br />9) Be recognized by the manufacturer to perform the following services for firefighting <br />boots: <br />a) Advanced Inspections <br />b) Advanced Cleaning <br />c) Specialized Cleaning <br />10) Contractor shall complete advanced cleaning, advanced inspection, specialized <br />cleaning, liner inspections, and repairs, and return up to 9 sets of PPE within 7 business <br />days of pick up from the department. For needs that exceed 10 sets Contractor will <br />coordinate with department point of contact on an agreed upon return time. <br />Business days are defined as Monday through Friday; national holidays are excluded. <br />Extensions shall be acceptable if: <br />a) Work Instructions were not provided or were not understandable <br />b) Element(s) require specialized cleaning, major alteration or major repairs <br />c) Reasonable cause can be shown requiring extension and is agreed to by the <br />City and Contractor <br />11) When required to service firefighter PPE that has been soiled or damaged during <br />an incident or other event, Contractor shall complete cleaning, inspection, liner <br />inspections, and needed repairs in accordance with NFPA 1851 and return all PPE, <br />within 72 hours (three business days) of pick up from the department. Business days <br />are defined as Monday through Friday; national holidays are excluded. Extensions may <br />be acceptable if: <br />a) clear work instructions were not provided to Contractor by the department <br />b) PPE Element(s) require specialized cleaning, major alteration or major repairs <br />(see price list attachment for considered major repairs) <br />c) Reasonable cause can be shown by Contractor requiring extension. i.e. <br />Hazardous materials, flammable liquids and or major repairs (see price list <br />attachment for considered major repairs) <br />B. Pick-up and Delivery Requirements <br />Contractor will establish a regular route for pickup and delivery of PPE agreeable to <br />the City and Contractor. <br />Contractor shall pick-up and return all Structural PPE as required in section A.10 & <br />A.11 above. <br />Contractor shall return PPE items assembled, folded and bagged. <br />Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment for PPE pick up including: <br />laundering forms (sent electronically) <br />REV: 03-05-19 RL <br />Page 7 of 20 <br />ATrY/AGR.2019.053/Ensemble Care and Maintenance Services <br />
