Plans shall identify the standard referenced, <br />size, color, and location of each, sign, marking, or stripe. <br />Grading Plans <br />Consultant shall prepare grading plans to show proposed gutter line grading for proper <br />drainage. Sidewalk grading shall be provided, as necessary, where grading differs from the <br />typical sections. <br />Drainage Plans <br />Consultant shall prepare drainage plans to show proposed storm drain modifications to apply <br />proper drainage in the existing storm drain system, as required. <br />UtilitV Relocation Plans <br />These plans shall show existing underground and over- head utilities such as sewer, water, <br />electrical, gas, and telecom that need to be relocated due to the project, as required. <br />Traffic Signal, Lighting. and Electrical Plans <br />If a new signal pole or signal equipment is needed for installation of pedestrian hybrid beacon, <br />Consultant shall use the base map to prepare design -level plans showing the layout of the <br />proposed pole and the traffic signal equipment, including the location(s) of the signal <br />controller/cabinet, poles, or traffic signal interconnect, emergency vehicle pre-emption, traffic <br />marking, striping and signage design. Designs will be in accordance with the City of Redwood <br />City's current design standards, Caltrans design standards, and the CA MUTCD guidelines. The <br />design shall include any additional detail and information needed for the pedestrian hybrid beacon <br />or electrical equipment to be furnished and installed. <br />Details <br />Consultant shall prepare standard and special details that will be appropriate for the <br />project design for each construction plan set. <br />65% Specifications and Estimate <br />The Draft technical specifications shall be in City format. The draft specifications shall <br />correlate with each of the bid items shown in the 65% cost estimate and the 65% plans. <br />Likewise, Consultant shall prepare a corresponding itemized estimate of construction <br />costs. The specifications shall be in MS Word, the estimate shall be in MS Excel format. <br />It is assumed the City will provide the front end "boilerplate" specifications. <br />Consultant shall transmit the 65% PS&E to the City for review and attend a meeting to <br />review the documents. Based on City comments received, Consultant shall move <br />forward with final 90% PS&E after approval from the City (see Task 7). <br />Task 3 Deliverables: <br />• 65% PS&E - Two (2) hardcopy sets of 24" X 36" plan documents, along with 8.5" X 11" <br />specifications and estimates and topographic survey. Electronic versions shall be provided <br />as well.
