8.B. - Page 1 of 72 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />A,&/ <br />DATE: April 22, 2019 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Amendments to City Code Chapter 33A relating to Temporary Street Closures and Regulations for <br />Courthouse Square; Authorization for the Chief of Police to temporarily close City streets; Update to <br />Schedule of Fees for Courthouse Square and other Special Events; and Update to Courthouse Square <br />Administrative Guidelines <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Waive First Reading and Introduce an Ordinance amending City Code Chapter 33A, Article I (Temporary <br />Street Closures) and Article III (Regulations for Courthouse Square); <br />2. Adopt a Resolution pursuant to California Vehicle Code section 21101(e) authorizing the Chief of Police <br />to temporarily close City streets; <br />3. Adopt a Resolution updating the Schedule of Fees related to events at Courthouse Square and other <br />Special Events; <br />4. Adopt a Resolution updating the Courthouse Square Administrative Guidelines; and <br />5. By motion, direct staff to administratively incorporate the proposed fees into the City's Master Fee <br />Schedule. <br />6.
