scope of the Legacy Event if it places an increased financial burden on the City, <br />unless the Legacy Event organizers receive City Council approval. Any conflict <br />between Legacy Event organizers and City staff regarding changes to the Legacy <br />Event may be appealed to the City Council per Chapter 1, Article III (Procedures <br />on Appeals and Call Ups) of the City Code. <br />SECTION 5: REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL EVENTS <br />Clear and Safe Access <br />A. It is the Permittee's responsibility to comply with all City, county, state and federal <br />accessibility standards, which include equal access to facilities, services and <br />programs for persons with disabilities. <br />1. All events must be accessible to persons with disabilities, or reasonable <br />accommodations must be made. <br />2. The Permittee shall delineate a clear path of travel in its Courthouse <br />Square site plan to, but not limited to, the County Courthouse building, <br />wheelchair lift, and the business entrances and service windows of the <br />Courthouse Square kiosks. <br />3. Fire Department access/no parking fire lanes shall be observed at all <br />times. <br />Hours of Event <br />The typical duration of events are between four (4) and eight (8) hours. If the proposed <br />event will be longer than eight (8) hours, additional charges may be required and <br />assessed as part of the total estimated costs and final bill. The Permittee will be required <br />to coordinate with and communicate event date and hours to the San Mateo County <br />History Museum, the Fox Theater, and other businesses within the Courthouse Square <br />Event Area boundaries. <br />Insurance <br />Insurance is required for most special events, for details see Attachment I, attached <br />hereto and incorporated by reference. Proof of liability coverage is required in the form <br />of an Acord Certificate of Insurance and the corresponding endorsements. Depending <br />on the event type, the City may require workers' compensation, liquor liability, and <br />automobile insurance. <br />Business License <br />A. All professional event planners and promoters for hire are required to obtain a <br />business license regardless of whether the event is for charitable purposes. <br />B.
