0 R I G I N A L 7/26/99 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13690 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION CONDEMNING BUILDING AT 303 HELLER <br /> STREET AS A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND DIRECTING <br /> RECONSTRUCTION OR REMOVAL THEREOF <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Building Department of this City has determined that the <br />dwelling unit which is located at 303 Heller Street is a public nuisance as defined <br />by Section 9.5 of the Redwood City Code because the building has become <br />manifestly unsafe for the purpose for which it is being used; the building exists <br />and is maintained in violation of specific requirements and prohibitions applicable <br />to such building regulations of the City; the building, because of inadequate <br />maintenance, dilapidation, decay, damage, faulty construction, inadequate light, <br />air, and sanitation facilities, has been determined to be unfit for human habitation <br />and is unsanitary; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Building Department has given notice to the owners of <br />the building at 303 Heller Street, as evidenced by Exhibit A (Notice to Abate <br />Nuisance), to appear before this City Council to show cause, if any, why such <br />building should not be declared to be a public nuisance and abated in <br />accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City Code; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Affidavit of Posting of the Notice to Abate Nuisance is <br />attached hereto and marked Exhibit B; a Certificate of Mailing the Notice to <br />Abate to the person who is named as the owner of the subject property on the <br />books of the County Assessor is attached hereto and marked Exhibit C; an <br /> <br />Reso-711 <br />F :lSharedlRedwoodlCouncil <br />FXS:rg <br />07/16/99 <br />07/21/99 <br /> <br /> <br />
