<br />Proposal For City of Redwood City Emergency Management Training and Consultation <br />Workshop Goal: To understand the NIMS approach for managing disaster, to learn the City of <br />Redwood City Incident Command System (ICS) mode required by NIMS and SEMS, and to <br />obtain NIMS certification. <br />Workshop Outline/Session Topics: <br />1. Command Function <br />2. Planning <br />3. Operations <br />4. Logistics <br />5. F inance/ Administration <br />6. Test <br />Workshop Outcomes: Upon successful completion of the customized training, participants will <br />have demonstrated the ability to: <br />1. Know the National Incident Management System (NIMS) <br />2. Learn the Incident Command System (NICS) structure <br />3. Complete test for NIMS certification <br />Module Two: 2 Hour Emergency Operations Plan Orientation <br />This module will provide employees an overview of how to apply the Emergency Operations <br />Plan during disaster response. It will apply to employees at all levels of the City and all disaster <br />response roles. It will cover the plan in its entirety, including Recovery. <br />Workshop Goal: To understand the City of Redwood City's approach for managing disaster <br />using its Emergency Operations Plan (EOP). <br />Workshop Outline/Session Topics: <br />1. Prevention <br />2. Preparedness <br />3. Response <br />4. Recovery <br />Workshop Outcomes: Upon successful completion of the customized training, participants will <br />have demonstrated the ability to: <br />1. Know the Prevention efforts under the City of Redwood City EOP <br />2. Know the Prevention efforts under the City of Redwood City EOP <br />3. Learn the Response structure using the City of Redwood City EOP checklists. <br />4.
