<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA) <br />Emergency Shelter Rehab/ADA Upgrade <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this d"~t day dt. ..JvGd:ST, <br />2006, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br /> <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Community Overcoming Relationship <br /> <br />Abuse (CORA), a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the <br /> <br />"Parties"). <br /> <br />WIT N E SSE T H: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides an emergency shelter, and support services for <br /> <br />women and children who are victims of domestic violence; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br /> <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit A (Contractor Objectives), which is <br />incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2006, and ending June 30, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that providing <br /> <br />the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to <br /> <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Twenty Five Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($25,000). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br />1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Twenty Five Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($25,000) for exclusive use by Contractor <br /> <br />during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2006, and ending June 30, 2007, solely for the <br /> <br />purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br />2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to <br /> <br />Paragraph 1 solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibits A (Contractor <br /> <br />Objectives) and Exhibit B (Budget) and Exhibit C (Environmental Reviews) for <br /> <br />ATTY/AGR/2006.041 <br />081606 <br /> <br />1 <br />
