<br /> 16. INTEREST OF PUBLIC OFFICIALS. No members, officers, <br /> employees, or agents of the City of Redwood City, no member of the City Council <br /> and no other public official who exercises any function or responsibility with <br /> respect to this Agreement or Contractor's Program during his or her tenure, or for <br /> one year thereafter, shall have any interest, direct or indirect, in this contract or a <br /> related subcontract, or the proceeds thereof. Contractor shall incorporate in all <br /> subcontracts hereunder a provision prohibiting such interest. <br /> 17. LOBBYING PROHIBITED. Funds provided under this Agreement <br /> shall not be used by Contractor for publicity or propaganda purposes designed to <br /> support or defeat legislation pending before federal, state, or local government. <br /> 18. RELIGIOUS ACTIVITY PROHIBITED. There shall be no religious <br /> worship, instruction, or proselytizing as part of, or in connection with, the <br /> performance of this Agreement. <br /> The following restrictions and limitations shall apply to the services <br /> rendered by Contractor in connection with the terms of this Agreement: <br /> a. Contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant <br /> for employment on the basis of religion and will not limit employment or <br /> give preference in employment to persons on the basis of religion; <br /> b. Contractor will not discriminate against any person applying for <br /> such public services on the basis of religion and will not limit such services <br /> or give preference to persons on the basis of religion; <br /> c.
