Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and City General Fund Funding <br /> Agreements for Fiscal Year 2006/07. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> M/S Foust/Ira to authorize staff to execute operating agreements for 16 public <br /> service and related programs with 13 non-profit organizations. The motion <br /> passed by a majority roll call vote with Council Members Aguirre and <br /> Howard recusing. <br /> MINUTE ORDER 06-178 <br /> Council Members Aguirre and Howard returned to the dais. <br /> 7. STAFF REPORTS <br /> A. San Mateo County Parks for the Future — November Ballot Initiative <br /> PRCS Director Centeno presented the report, requesting support of what is now <br /> Measure A on the countywide ballot in November 2006. She gave the background <br /> of a broad concept over 18 months leading up to this point. <br /> Vice Mayor Foust thanked PRCS Director Centeno for her work and stated that <br /> going to the voters countywide in the format of a measure was appropriate. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> M/S Foust/Aguirre to adopt a resolution, to endorse the Parks for Future 1/8 cent <br /> Sales Tax Measure, which if approved by voters in November 2006, would support <br /> parks and recreation activities in San Mateo County, the Cities located within the <br /> County, the Ladera and Highlands Recreation Districts and Mid-Peninsula <br /> Regional Open Space District for a period of 25 years. <br /> RESOLUTION 14727 SUPPORTING THE SAN MATEO COUNTY PARKS FOR THE <br /> FUTURE ORDINANCE, A 1/8 CENT SALES TAX MEASURE, ON THE NOVEMBER, <br /> 2006 COUNTYWIDE BALLOT <br /> The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote. <br /> B. Future Solid Waste, Recycling, and Organics Collections Programs and future <br /> Franchise Agreement <br /> Director of Finance and Financial Planning Ponty explained that this is a response <br /> to the overview previously presented to Council.
