Their preferred
focation is on the frst floor of the office buildings at 805 Veterans within the vicinity of the
County Center and Iocated within the incorporated territory of Redwood City.
The proposed use would be limited to administrative office uses only while all their clinical
services wiil continue to function out af the existing clinic at 802 Brewster. Given the fact
that the proposed use is Iimified ta administrative oce use only, it would be consistent with
the Zoning requirements of the lndustrial Park"IP"Zoning District and is considered to be a
permitted use and would not require any City permits (other than a Building permit for any
tenant improvements). Therefore, the Pianning Department would have no objections ta
waiving the 60 day notificafion.
Whenever the County Board af Supenrisors decides to enter into a {ease of an existing
building within the incorporated territory of a city, they are required to give a written 6Q-day
notice prior to going to bid or entering into a lease. However, 60-day notification
requirement may be waived if the City Council consents by resotution thereto. The County
has requested that the Redwaod City Council adopt a resolu#ion to waive the 60-day
notification requirement and allow the Mental Health Department to occupy the Ivcation
before or art its October 1, 2Q06 target date.
Alternative
Do not approve the resolution and retain the 60-day no#ificaion requirement pursuant to
Cafifomia Government Code §25359.
Ffsca# Impact
There is no fiscal impact.
h ,
r; . r ./"
. :, , .
,-- p j`" '
,
° ,r:•,,'i;' „'
R j`: .
