6.3A <br /> Page 2 <br /> RESOLUTtON N0. <br /> RESOLUTi4N WAiV1NG NOTICE OF THE COUNTY 4F SAN MATEO'S <br /> LEASE 4F REAL PROPERTY <br /> WHEREAS, California Government code § 25351, subd. (b), provides that <br /> whenever the board of supervisors of a county decides to enter into a lease of an <br /> existing building within the incorporated terr'story of a city, the board sha(I notify in <br /> writing, at least 60 days prior to going to bid or entering into a lease, the city cierk of the <br /> city where the building is to be constructed, expanded, or leased; and <br /> WHEREAS, California Government Code § 25351, subd. (d), provides that the <br /> 60-day notifica#ion requirements imposed by subdivisions (b) and (c) may be waiveci if <br /> the city councif consents, by resolution, thereto; and <br /> WHEREAS, by correspondence dated July 25, 2006, the County of San Mateo <br /> notified the city clerk that the County plans to enter into a lease for the premises located <br /> near the County Center, which lease would provide that tt�e premises are to be used as <br /> administrative office space for the County Mental Health Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo has requested that fihe City waive the 60- <br /> day notification requirement, and this City Council has considered said request and <br /> agrees to waive the 60-day notice; and <br /> NOW, THEREF�RE, IT 1S RESOLVED AND DETERMINED THAT pursuant to <br /> Government Code § 25351, subd. {d), the City of Redwood City hereby waives the 60- <br /> day notice requirement for the County of San Mateo's proposed lease of premises <br /> located near the County Center. <br /> Atty/Resa/Reso.1637 <br /> n���n� <br />
