<br />Park & Recreation Commission <br />Minutes of August 23, 2006 <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />MIS Truscelli/Sargent: To recommend to City Council to endorse Measure A on the <br />November Ballot. <br />Motion Passed. <br /> <br />ITEM 3 - FLEISHMAN PARK GRAND OPENING STATUS AND GRANT <br />OPENING EVENT <br /> <br />Superintendent Hover announced the Fleishman Park construction would be completed in <br />two weeks; however, the bathrooms will not be installed and completed until the first <br />week of December. There will be a soft opening of the park in the next few weeks when <br />the fences are removed, and a larger grand opening will be scheduled in January 2007. <br /> <br />ITEM 4 - SUB-COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />-Park Needs Assessment <br />Superintendent Hover stated the sub-committee is meeting every two weeks and are <br />reviewing parkland development ordinance, use of consultants, and other important <br />Issues. <br /> <br />ITEMS FOR NEXT MONTH'S AGENDA <br />-Receive Public Comment on Proposed Park Rules and Regulations <br />-Discuss Commission Retreat <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was adjourned at 8:45pm to <br />be reconvened at 7:30pm on Wednesday, September 27,2006 at the Community <br />Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br />
