<br /> EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Compensation: <br />Compensation for services will be $47,500, to be paid per the following schedule: <br /> $21,250 upon execution of contract <br /> $21,250 two weeks prior to event <br /> $ 5,000 within two weeks of event <br />Scope of Services: <br />Plan, manage, and implement Redwood City's 2006 Downtown Celebration: <br />Consultant agrees to be on-site for the duration of the event. <br />Event begins with the opening of the Farmer's Market and continues from noon until 8 <br />p.m. on Broadway and Theatre Way in downtown Redwood City. The theme will reflect <br />a welcome back to Redwood City. After years of inactivity, the City has designed <br />community-friendly walking streets, and will soon open a civic square adjacent to the <br />historical museum/courthouse. <br />Key features of the event: <br />Stage one. Covered youth stage with shade canopy for the audience. This stage will <br />feature entertainers designed for families and youngsters under 12, with jugglers, <br />storytellers and similar artists, from noon until 6 p.m. <br />Stage two. Covered stage with shade canopy for the audience. This staging area will <br />present lectures/discussions on the processes that Redwood City has taken to <br />redevelop the downtown, including future plans. Discussion leaders can include urban <br />planners, landscapers, architects who were, and are critical to the change in Redwood <br />City. Exact times to be determined by interest. <br />Stage Three. Covered stage with umbrellas tables and chairs for audience members. <br />Four musical acts each playing 90 minutes from noon to 7:30, with intermission breaks. <br />Interactive area for youth and families. Bounce house, hands on art activities, face <br />painting, and other similar activities. <br />Tours of the history museum, cinemas, Fox Theatre, others that may wish to participate. <br />Food and beverage booths.
