<br />6.10 <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AND <br />SAN MATEO COUNTY FIRE FIGHTERS, <br />INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS <br />LOCAL 2400 <br /> <br />This Memorandum of Understanding (hereinafter MOU) is entered into pursuant to the <br />provisions of Section 3500 et. seq. of the Government Code of the State of California. <br /> <br />The parties have met and conferred in good faith regarding wages, hours and other <br />terms and conditions of employment for the employees in said representation unit, and <br />have freely exchanged information, opinions and proposals and have reached <br />agreement on all matters relating to the employment conditions and employer"employee <br />relations of such employees. <br /> <br />This MOU shall be presented to the City Council of the City of Redwood City as the joint <br />recommendation of the undersigned parties for salary and employee benefit <br />adjustments for the period commencing January 1, 2006, and ending December 31, <br />2009. <br /> <br />-Je. <br /> <br />SECTION 1 - RECO,GNmON <br /> <br />1.1 Union Recognition <br /> <br />San Mateo County Fire Fighters, International Association of Fire Fighters Local <br />2400, hereinafter referred to as "the Union", has been recognized as the <br />Majority Representative, pursuant to the Employer-Employee Relations <br />Resolution of the City adopted August 7, 1972, for the permanent full-time <br />employees assigned to the classes set forth in this MOU. This unit of <br />employees shall for the purposes of identification be titled the "Fire Unit." <br /> <br />1.2 Employer Recognition <br /> <br />The City Manager is the representative of the City of Redwood City, hereinafter <br />referred to as "the City," in employer-employee relations pursuant to the <br />Employer-Employee Relations Resolution ofthe City adopted August 7, 1972. <br /> <br />1 <br />
