5. Dates and Time: The parade and festival shall be conducted on Sunday, July 4, 1999. The parade and staging area shall be reserved from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; the parade route shall be reserved from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The arts and crafts fair shall be conducted on July 3 and 4, 1999 in the same area as the festival, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. The "Redwood City Comes Alive" block party will be conducted in the same area as the festival on July 3~, from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The fair will include displays and live music. Tarps or other material shall be employed to protect sidewalk areas within booths selling food cooked on site. 6. Insurance: Permittee shall furnish to the City public liability and property damage insurance, naming the City of Redwood City, its Council, boards, commissions, 6fficers, employees, volunteers, and agents as insured, or additional insured, insuring the same against all claims for personal injury or death to any person or persons resulting or arising from the conducting of the activities herein permitted, or alleged to have resulted or alleged to have adsen therefrom, or from any act or omissions to act, of Permittee in connection therewith, in the amounts of $1,000,000 for each person and $1,000,000 for each occurrence, and property damage insurance for damage or injury to, or destruction of property, including the loss of use thereof, in the amount of $1,000,000. Evidence of such insurance coverage in a form satisfactory to the City shall be furnished by Permittee to the City at least ten (10) days prior to commencement of the event. 7. Damage to Public Property: Permittee shall reimburse the City for the costs of any damages to City owned property in the vicinity of the designated route, caused by or adsing out of the conducting of the activities permitted hereunder, or the acts, omissions to act, of persons participating in said event. All signs or other markings placed in or upon public property, including the public dght of way in connection with the activity, shall be removed immediately following said event. 8. Compliance With Laws: Permittee shall comply with all appropriate and applicable rules, regulations, and laws in connection with the conducting of said event, or any activities associated therewith. This permit shall be in addition tO all other permits that are or may be required for conducting this event or any associated activity. Specifically, the Permittee or any other individual event participants shall be responsible for obtaining necessary StateABC permits and County Health permits. In the event a firework display occurs, Permittee shall obtain all necessary State, County, and City permits pertaining to the fireworks display. Any sale of alcoholic beverages shall cease no later than 5:00 p.m.. 2 13603
