"'(b) lan-checking Fees When t. valuation of the proposed construction exceeds $1,000.00 and a plan is required to be submitted by subsection (c) of Section 301, a plan-checking fee shall be paid to the Building Official at the time of sub- mitting plans and specifications for checking. "'Said plan-checking fees for buildings of Groups I and J Occupancies shall be one-half of the build- ing permit fees. Plan-checking fees for all other buildings shall be 65 percent of the building per- mit fees as set forth in Table No.3-A. "'Where plans are incomplete, or changed so as to require additional plan checking, an additional plan-check fee shall be charged at a rate estab- lished by the Building Official. "'(c) Expiration of Plan Check Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days follow- ing the date of application shall expire by limitation and plans submitted for checking may thereafter be returned to the applicant or destroyed by the Building Official. The Build- ing Official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days upon written request by the applicant show- ing that circumstances beyond the control of the applicant have prevented action from being taken. In order to renew action on an application after expiration, the applicant shall resubmit plans and pay a new plan-check fee. "'(d) In addition to the permit fees prescribed by subsections (a) and (b) above, a strong Motion Instrumentation Fee shall be paid to the Building Official in the amount of sot or .00007 (seven one hundred thousandths) times the Build- ing Permit valuation, whichever is greater. In calculating this fee valuation is computed to the next highest $1,000.00 increment of the valuation as determined by the Building Official. "'(e) In addition to the fees prescribed by subsections (a), (b) and (d) above, fees shall be paid to the Building Official for the micro- filming of plans, and for inspection services relating to the installation of energy and noise insulation. These fees shall be computed in accordance with the following schedule: "'Records Microfilming: 5% of the basic permit fee [subsection (a)]. "'Energy Insulation: 6% of the basic per- mit fee [subsection (a)J. "'Noise Insulation: 8% of the basic permit fee [subsection (a)J. "'The microfilming fee charge is applicable to all construction permits and occupancies. -3-
