<br />shall be made by application to the chief of police, and if <br />accepted by the chief of police, shall be subject to <br />approval by the city manager. <br />"Section 26.13 The chief of police shall have complete <br />authority, control and command of the harbor police reserve <br />corps established by section 26.10 and shall promulgate all <br />necessary rules and regulations for the operation and control <br />of the harbor police reserve corps, which rules and regula- <br />tions shall be subject to the approval of the city manager. <br />"Section 26.14 No compensation shall be paid for any <br />duty performed by any member of the harbor police reserve <br />corps established by section 26.10: and provided, further, <br />that each member accepted, registered and appointed by the <br />chief of police as set out in section 26.12 shall be an <br />employee of the city for the purpose of obtaining benefits <br />under the workmenls compensation contract of the city with <br />the state compensation insurance fund. <br />"Section 26.15 Harbor police reserve corps members <br />shall not at any time have any of the rights, powers, pri- <br />vileges and authority of a regular member of the police <br />department, or of a peace officer, as that term is defined <br />in Part 2, Title 3, Chapter 4.5 of the Penal Code (commencing <br />at'~830). <br />"Section 26.16 It shall be a misdemeanor for any per- <br />son to represent himself as a member of, or to be connected <br />with, the harbor police reserve corps, unless he is in fact <br />a member thereof or connected therewitho" <br />SECTION 2.
