<br />"Section 38.10. Every application for a permit for a <br /> <br />connection to the water system owned or operated by the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City shall be accompanied by the following <br /> <br />connection fees applicable to premises located in the desig- <br /> <br />nated water service areas: <br /> <br />Areas 1, 2, <br />4, 5, & 6 Area 3 <br /> <br />"(1) For 5/8 x 3/4 inch metered <br />services, a charge of . S 95.00 <br /> <br />$150.00 <br /> <br />"(2) For all service connections <br />of meter sizes larger than <br />5/8 x 3/4 inch, the follow- <br />ing charges: <br /> <br />(a) For 3/4 inch metered <br /> services . . . . . 100.00 175.00 <br />(b) For 1 inch metered <br /> services . 130.00 230.00 <br />(c) For 1-1/2 inch metered <br /> services . 275.00 410.00 <br />(d) For 2 inch metered <br /> services . . . . . 385.00 680.00 <br /> <br />(e) For meters larger than 2 inch, the amount <br />of the charge shall be set by the Director <br />of Public Works based upon his estimate of <br />the total cost of installing the service., <br /> <br />"(3) In the event the actual total cost to the City <br />of installing the metered services exceeds the <br />charges set forth in subsections (1) and (2) of <br />this Section 38.10, the actual total cost shall <br />be charged to the applicant for such service. <br /> <br />"(4) The charge for a manifold meter installation shall <br />be the sum of the applicable individual charges <br />for each such installation. <br /> <br />"(5) There shall be no charge for renewal of service <br />which has been temporarily discontinued, except <br />such service discontinued for nonpayment of water <br />service fees or charges. In the event water <br />service is discontinued for nonpayment of water <br />service fees or charges, a charge of Five Dollars <br />($5.00) shall be paid for the renewal of service <br />during regular working hours and a charge of Ten <br />Dollars ($10.00) shall be paid for the renewal <br />of service during hours other than regular working <br />hours." <br /> <br />-3- <br />
