IIISection 12.107 The provisions of Section 12.26 " of the Code of the City of Redwood City relating to appeals from disapproval of applications or refusal to grant permits or revocation thereof shall apply to denials of applications for permits for public displays of fireworks or temporary fireworks sales permits or revocation of such permits. After the hearing on an ~ppea1, the Council shall reverse, modify, or sustain the denial or revocation from which appeal was taken.' "Section 12.15 Section 13.301.1 .is hereby added to the Fire Code to read as follows: IIISection 13.301.1 APPROVED AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEMS. (a) Approved automatic sprinkler systems are those fire extinguishing systems employ~ng automatic sprinklers attached to a piping system containing water and connected to a water supply so that water discharges imrnediat,ely Erom.,spri.r....kJ.crsopencdby a fire, and which comply in all respects with the requirements adopted for such systems by the State Fire Marshal. ." "~(b) Approved automatic sprinkler systems shall include a monitoring device, or devices, which shall operate on a continuous basis, to provide in@ediate notification of any activation of such systems either to a central station as described in the National Fire Protection Association, pamphlet No. 71, as it now exists or as it may from time to time be amended, or to the Redwood City Fire Department. .., (c) Notwithstanding the provisions of this Code or the provisions of any other codes of the City of Redwood City, approved automatic sprinkler syste~s shall be installed in those buildings or structures: -14-
