<br />IIISection 12.107 The provisions of Section 12.26 <br /> <br />" <br />of the Code of the City of Redwood City relating to <br /> <br />appeals from disapproval of applications or refusal <br /> <br />to grant permits or revocation thereof shall apply to <br /> <br />denials of applications for permits for public displays <br /> <br />of fireworks or temporary fireworks sales permits or <br /> <br />revocation of such permits. After the hearing on an <br /> <br />~ppea1, the Council shall reverse, modify, or sustain <br /> <br />the denial or revocation from which appeal was taken.' <br /> <br />"Section 12.15 Section 13.301.1 .is hereby added to <br /> <br />the Fire Code to read as follows: <br /> <br />IIISection 13.301.1 APPROVED AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER <br /> <br />SYSTEMS. <br /> <br />(a) Approved automatic sprinkler systems <br /> <br />are those fire extinguishing systems employ~ng automatic <br /> <br />sprinklers attached to a piping system containing water <br /> <br />and connected to a water supply so that water discharges <br /> <br />imrnediat,ely Erom.,spri.r....kJ.crsopencdby a fire, and which <br /> <br />comply in all respects with the requirements adopted <br /> <br />for such systems by the State Fire Marshal. <br /> <br />." "~(b) Approved automatic sprinkler systems shall <br /> <br />include a monitoring device, or devices, which shall <br /> <br />operate on a continuous basis, to provide in@ediate <br /> <br />notification of any activation of such systems either <br /> <br />to a central station as described in the National Fire <br /> <br />Protection Association, pamphlet No. 71, as it now <br /> <br />exists or as it may from time to time be amended, or <br /> <br />to the Redwood City Fire Department. <br /> <br />.., (c) Notwithstanding the provisions of this Code <br /> <br />or the provisions of any other codes of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City, approved automatic sprinkler syste~s shall <br /> <br />be installed in those buildings or structures: <br /> <br />-14- <br />
