A flammable or <br /> <br />'combustihl:e liquid storag.e tank may be located under- <br /> <br />ground, outside of.or under a building if such installa- <br /> <br />tion meets the requirements of this section. The tank <br /> <br />shall be SO located with respect to existing founda- <br /> <br />tions and supports that the loads carried by the latter <br /> <br />cannot be transmitted to the tank. The distance from <br /> <br />any part of a tank storing Class II or III liquid to <br /> <br />the nearest wall of any basement, pit, cellar, or pro- <br /> <br />perty line shall be not less than one foot. The dis- <br /> <br />tance from any part of a tank storing Class I liquids <br /> <br />to the nearest wall of any basement, pit or cellar skall <br /> <br />be not less than one foot, and from any property line <br /> <br />that may be built upon, not less than three feet. A <br /> <br />minimum distance of three feet, shell to shell, shall <br /> <br />be maintained between underground tanks. <br /> <br />-18- <br />
