<br />replace the salary rates for the classification of Communications <br /> <br /> <br />Dispatcher (insofar as the same applies to such Dispatcher assigned <br /> <br />to the Police Department) and for the classification of Police <br /> <br /> <br />Clerk Matron respectively, as said rates are set forth in Section <br /> <br />7 of the aforesaid Ordinance No. 1519, as amended. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. (a) Each police officer, police sergeant, commu- <br /> <br /> <br />nications dispatcher assigned to the Police Department, and police <br /> <br /> <br />clerk matron regularly assigned to a night shift as herein defined, <br /> <br /> <br />shall receive additional compensation in an amount equal to 2-1/2% <br /> <br /> <br />of his basic monthly salary for each month during the period he is <br /> <br /> <br />so assigned; provided, however, that such additional compensation <br /> <br /> <br />shall not be included in computations for overtime or other pay <br /> <br /> <br />differentials. <br /> <br /> <br />(b) Each communications dispatcher assigned to the Police <br />Department who is regularly assigned to a relief schedule requiring <br />night shift duty, as herein detined, shall receive additional <br />compensation in an amount equal to 1% of his basic monthly salary <br />for each month during the period he is so assigned; provided, <br />however, that such additional compensation shall not be included <br />in computations for overtime or other pay differentials. <br />(c) For the purposes of this section a night shift shall <br />be considered to be any duty shift commencing between the hours <br />of 3:00 p.m. and 2 a.m. <br />SECTION 6. Each employee of the Police Department who is <br />required to operate a motorcycle shall receive additional compen- <br />sation in an amount equal to 5% of his basic monthly salary for <br />each month during which motorcycle duty is performed by such <br />employee. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
