<br />"Section 5:24.2 <br /> <br />Notwithstanding the provisions of <br /> <br />Section 5.24 hereof, no dog need be vaccinated for rabies <br /> <br />if: <br /> <br />II (a) A duly licensed veterinarian, upon examination <br />of said dog, determines at such time that a <br />rabies vaccination would have a physiological <br />effect on said dog of the sort that would endanger <br />its health, and said veterinarian prepares a <br />certificate to that effect; and <br /> <br />"(b) Such certificate is presented to the Health Officer <br />within five days after such examination; and <br /> <br />"(c) The Health Officer concurs with the opinion of <br />the veterinarian, contained in such certificate, <br />and endorses on such certificate his approval <br />thereof. <br /> <br />"Such certificate must bear the date of examination by <br /> <br />the veterinarian, and the date of approval and issuance <br /> <br />thereof by the Health Officer. <br /> <br />"Such certificate shall expire on the first anniversary <br /> <br />of its issuance. A certificate may be renewed on a year to <br /> <br />year basis upon presentation to the Health Officer of current <br /> <br />information furnished pursuant to items (a) and (b) hereof. <br /> <br />"section 5.24.3 <br /> <br />Every person who owns, or has custody <br /> <br />or control of, an unvaccinated dog older than four months <br /> <br />of age, and who has not complied with the provisions of <br /> <br />sections 5.24 or 5.24.1 hereof, shall comply with said <br /> <br />provisions within ten days from the'effective date of the <br /> <br />ordinance enacting this division or within ten days following <br /> <br />the date upon. which such dog becomes four months old when <br /> <br />such date occurs after said effective date." <br /> <br />SECTION 4. Section 5.60 of the Code of the city of Redwood <br /> <br />city is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"section 5.60 <br /> <br />Every animal kept or found in violation <br /> <br />of the provisions of this chapter, and every pog not wearing <br />\ <br />, <br />the license tag provided for in Section 5.17, and, if such <br /> <br />-4- <br />
