If the sidewalk <br /> <br />space mentioned is adjacent to buildings at the property <br /> <br /> <br />line then a cast-iron sidewalk box, with loose cover <br /> <br />fitted Witll brass screws, shall be installed within <br /> <br /> <br />two feet from the property line. 'l'he size for a <br /> <br /> <br />cleanout plug shall be four inches. I <br /> <br />"section 9.91 section 1310.1 is hereby added to the <br /> <br /> <br />pluTIfuing Code to read as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />"Isection 1310.1 Water heaters shall have safety <br /> <br /> <br />pans with drains when located in living area or when <br /> <br /> <br />leakage would do damage to the building or its contents. <br /> <br /> <br />The pans sha.ll be of non-combustible mat.erial ana be <br /> <br />of such dimensions as to provide a minimum of two inch <br /> <br /> <br />clearance between the pan and, the outside diameter of <br /> <br />the heater with a depth of three inches. The drain <br /> <br /> <br />shall not be less than three-fourths inch. The drain <br /> <br /> <br />may empty into the crawl space or be taken to the <br /> <br />exterior of t.he building.
