<br />"(a) Any eleqtrica 1 work done by an emp:Loyee of a <br />public ~tility in connection with rendering <br />elcctri- service to any building, structure, <br />or prer"ises by said public utility. <br /> <br />',' (b) The ordlnary care and maintenance of an estab- <br />lished electrical system by the owner, operator <br />or user thereof, except that ordinary care and <br />maintenance shall not be construed to include <br />additions to such system or other work such as <br />the repair or replacement of any electric <br />wiring ( appliance or apparatus which is a fixed <br />part of such system. The replacement of lamps, <br />fuses, and plugged-in ~pparatus, repair of <br />plugg(')d-in apparatus and similar work shall be <br />construed as ordinary care and maintenance. <br /> <br />.. (c) The repair of appliances, apparatus, and <br />materials which are not a fixed part of an <br />established electrical system or which have <br />been detached from such system for the purpose <br />of repair. <br /> <br />"Section 9.117 <br /> <br />Issuance of .l.)ermits pursuant to this <br /> <br />article shall not be deemed or construed to permit or <br /> <br />approve any violations of the provisions of this article <br /> <br />or the Electrical Code. No permit issued hereunder purporting <br /> <br />to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of tllis <br /> <br />article or the Electrical Code ~~all be valid insofar as such <br /> <br />permit purports to authorize such violation or cancellatiun. <br /> <br />The issuance of a permit pursuant to this article shall <br /> <br />not relieve the permittee from applying for or obtaining <br /> <br />any other permit which may be required by this Code, or other <br /> <br />ordinances, rules, or regulations of the City or of any other <br /> <br />governmental entity. <br /> <br />"Section 9.118 <br /> <br />(a) It shall be unlawful for any person <br /> <br />to do or cause to be done, any electrical work, or to use or <br /> <br />maintain or keep, or cause to be used, or maintained, or kept, <br /> <br />....~---.. <br />any electrical system contrary to or in violation of any <br /> <br />provision of this article, or of any Code provision as <br /> <br />adopted by this article, or any amendment thereto as adopted <br /> <br />by this article, or contrary to, or in violation of any <br /> <br />-9- <br /> <br />-..~.' <br />
