It(~~- <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AME~~ING SECTION 23.52 AND REPEALING SECTIONS <br />23.53, 23.54, 23.55, AND 23.56 OF ARTICLE IV OF CHAPTER <br />23 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO <br />RESIDENCE REQUIPEMENTSi AND AME~~ING SECTION 23.72 OF <br />ARTICLE V OF Cli~PTER 23 OF TF~ CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO SALARY ADJUST~~NTS OF CERTAIN <br />DESIGNATED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Stction 23.52 of Article IV of Chapter 23 of <br /> <br />the Code of the city of Redwood City is hereby amended to reac <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />"section 23.52 <br /> <br />Employees of the City shall not be <br /> <br />required to be residents of the citYi provided, however, <br /> <br />that the following residence requirements shall govern the <br /> <br />employees designated hereinafter: <br /> <br />U(a) Personnel assigned to, and actively engaged in, <br /> <br />fire fighting and fire prevention duties (excluding dispatchers, <br /> <br />telephone operators, clerical employees, machinists, mechanics, <br /> <br />or other persons whose duties do not clearly fall within the <br /> <br />scope of active fire fighting or fire prevention activities) <br /> <br />in the Fire Department shall maintain residence within the <br /> <br />limits designated on that certain map attached to that <br /> <br />certain memorandum of understanding by and between duly <br /> <br />authorized representatives of the Council and the Redwood <br /> <br />City Fire Fighters Local 2014, dated January 12, 1971, and <br /> <br />approved by the Council on January 18, 1971, a copy of which <br /> <br />map and memorandum is on file in the office of the City <br /> <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br />"(b) Personnel assigned to, and actively engaged in, <br /> <br />law enforcement duties (excluding _dispatChers, telephone <br /> <br />operators, clerical employees, machinists, mechanics, or <br /> <br />other persons whose duties do not clearly fall within the <br /> <br />T' <br />
