<br />II (2) Said property may, upon determination by <br />the Chief of Police, be used in any program <br />or activity the purpose of which is to <br />prevent juvenile delinquency, or, upon such <br />determination, said property may be donated <br />to any recognized organization, the purpose <br />of which is to prevent juvenile delinquency; <br />provided, however, that said property so <br />used or so donated shall be limited to <br />bicycles, toys, children's clothing, or <br />other property of a like or similar nature; <br />or <br /> <br />II (3) Said property may be sold at public auction <br />to the highest bidder, after notice given <br />therefor by the Chief of Police at least <br />five days before the time fixed for such <br />sale by publication once in a newspaper <br />of general circulation published in the <br />City. In the event no bid is offered for <br />said property at such auction, the same <br />shall be retained, used, or disposed of <br />as directed by the City Manager. <br /> <br />"section 2.56 <br /> <br />The Chief of Police shall establish a <br /> <br />schedule of reasonable charges to be paid pursuant to <br /> <br />Section 2.55(a) hereof. In the event the highest bid <br /> <br />offered at an auction conducted pursuant to Section 2.55(bX3) <br /> <br />is not equal to or greater than the total charges payable <br /> <br />for costs of storage and care of the item of unclaimed <br /> <br />property bid upon, the Chief of Police may, in his discretion, <br /> <br />direct that no sale shall be made, and that the said item <br /> <br />shall be disposed of as though no bid had been offered." <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
