<br />upon conviction of any such violation such person shall be <br /> <br />punishable by a fine of not more than Three Hundred Dollars <br /> <br />($300.00) or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days or <br /> <br />by both such fine and imprisonment. <br /> <br />"section 9.4 <br /> <br />The Building Inspector is hereby author- <br /> <br />ized to publish portions or all of this chapter and to sell <br /> <br />copies thereof to the general public at a price to be fixed <br />by the City Clerk." <br /> <br />SECTION 3. section 9.5 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 9.5 <br /> <br />For the purposes of this article, the <br /> <br />following words and phrases shall have the meanings respec- <br /> <br />tively ascribed to them by this section. <br /> <br />"OWner: The word 'owner' shall mean and include the <br /> <br />person owning the fee, or his agents, executors, adminis- <br /> <br />trators or guardians. <br /> <br />"Public Nuisance: For the purposes of this article, <br /> <br />the term used in describing a public nuisance shall include, <br /> <br />but shall not be limited to, the following meanings: <br /> <br />"(a) Any building or structure which has any or all <br />of the conditions or defects hereinafter described <br />shall be deemed to be a dangerous building, <br />provided that such conditions or defects exist <br />to the extent that the life, health, property, <br />or safety of the public or its occupants are <br />endangered: <br /> <br />II (1) Whenever any door, aisle, passageway, stair- <br />way or other means of exit is not of sufficient <br />width or size, or is not so arranged as to <br />provide safe and adequate means of exit in <br />case of fire or panic. <br /> <br />11(2) Whenever the stress in any materials, member <br />or portion thereof, due to all dead and live <br />loads, is more than one and one-half times <br />the working stress or stresses allowed in <br />the Uniform Building Code, Volume I, 1967 <br />Edition, for new buildings of similar <br />structure, purpose or location. <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br />T <br />
