The provisions of the foregoing <br /> <br />sections of this ordinance to the contrary notwith- <br /> <br />standing, if a position allocated to a given class <br /> <br />in the competitive service is reallocated to a different <br /> <br />I . <br /> <br />class in order to correct an error or to provide for a <br /> <br />change in duties or responsibilities of such position, <br /> <br />and there is no change in the incumbent of the position <br /> <br />so reallocated, and the maximum salary provided for the <br /> <br />position as reallocated is less than the salary received <br /> <br />by the incumbent prior to reallocation, then said <br /> <br />incumbent shall continue to be compensated at the rate <br /> <br />paid said incumbent prior to such reallocation." <br /> <br />SECTION 9.
