<br />WHK:yc:6/1/67 <br /> <br />carrying on or engaging in the business of real estate <br /> <br />broker, salesman or agent shall pay an annual license tax <br /> <br />of $25 for each real estate broker of the firm and $10 for <br /> <br /> <br />each of the average number of salesmen, agents and addition- <br /> <br /> <br />al persons employed, if any. II <br /> <br />SECTION 5. section 32.17l of Article V of Chapter 32 of <br /> <br /> <br />the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read <br /> <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />"Section 32.171 (a) Every person engaged in the <br /> <br />business of transporting goods, wares, merchandise or other <br /> <br />materials for hire and providing for transportation and <br /> <br />deliveries of goods or other materials either within the <br /> <br />City limits and/or deliveries of goods or other materials <br /> <br />from outside the City limits to places within the City limits, <br /> <br /> <br />except when such transportation is conducted by and in con- <br /> <br />nection with and is incidental to another trade, profession, <br /> <br /> <br />calling, occupation or business licensed pursuant to this <br /> <br /> <br />article, shall pay an annual license tax of $20 for the <br /> <br />first vehicle used, plus $lO for each additional vehicle used. <br /> <br /> <br />"(b) Every person not having a place of business within <br /> <br /> <br />the City who makes wholesale deliveries of goods or services <br /> <br /> <br />by motor vehicles to business or professions located within <br /> <br /> <br />the City or who maintains, installs, or repairs goods, wares, <br /> <br />or merchandise or equipment inside the City, or who provides <br /> <br /> <br />a service not otherwise covered in this section, shall pay <br /> <br />an annual license fee of $15 for the first vehicle used and <br /> <br />$10 for each additional vehicle used. <br /> <br /> <br />"This subsection shall include, but not be limited to, <br /> <br /> <br />linen and towel supply, uniform and overall supplies and <br /> <br /> <br />janitorial equipment rental service or supplies, petroleum <br /> <br />-3- <br />
