Revenues necessary._., the construction of capital faciliti~._ ,nd traffic reduction <br /> <br /> measures to alleviate the effect upon traffic of new residential and non-residential <br /> development may be obtained by imposition of a transportation impact fee <br /> enacted in accordance with Government Code Section 66000, et seq. <br /> <br /> O. The imposition of impact fees is one of the preferred methods of ensuring that <br /> new development bears a proportionate share of the costs of capital facilities and <br /> traffic reduction measures necessary to accommodate such development. <br /> <br /> D. This Article describes those types of land development which will generate traffic, <br /> necessitating the acquisition of rights-of-way, road construction, road <br /> improvements, pedestrian, bicycle and transit improvements, and traffic reduction <br /> measures in order to maintain approved levels of transportation service. <br /> <br /> E. The fees established by resolution pursuant to this Article shall not exceed the <br /> costs of providing additional rights-of-way, road construction, road improvements, <br /> pedestrian, bicycle and transit improvements, and traffic reduction measures <br /> necessitated by the new land developments upon which the fees are levied. <br /> <br /> F. The fees collected pursuant to this Article shall be used to finance the road <br /> improvements and related facilities and measures approved by resolution initially <br /> adopted concurrently with the adoption of the ordinance enacting this Article, <br /> which resolution may be amended from time-to-time by subsequent resolutions <br /> duly adopted after public hearing on the question of approval of such projects <br /> and the corresponding transportation impact fees. <br /> <br />Sh/Oouncil/Ord <br />Ord-105 <br /> <br />03/28/00 <br /> <br /> 2191 <br /> <br /> <br />
