A deposit of $25.00 <br />for each sign shall be required prior to the <br />issuance of any permit to insure removal of <br />the sign by the permittee. Said deposit <br />sha"ll be refunded upon removal of the sign <br />by the permittee in accordance with the <br />terms of his permit and this subsection. <br />If permittee does not remove the sign in <br />accordance with the terms of his permit and <br />this subsection, City shall remove the sign <br />and the deposit shall not be refunded; <br />provided, that permittee must be given <br />written notice 24 hours prior to removal <br />of the sign by the City. <br /> <br />IIFreestanding signs exceeding six square <br />feet in area and placed under the terms of <br />this subsection shall be supported in the <br />following manner: <br /> <br />"a. Vertical members or posts shall be 4" x 4" <br />solid wood placed a minimum of 4811 o.c. <br />and 36" into the ground. <br /> <br />"b. Horizontal members or purl'ins shall be <br />2" x 4" wood members placed a minimum <br />of 24" o.c. <br /> <br />II c~); Sign backing shall be 3/8" plywood or <br />equivalent fastened at all edges to all <br />pur1ins with 6d common nails 8" o.c. <br /> <br />'''d.
