In addition, the Building Inspector <br /> <br />may surr~arily, without notice, remove any temporary sign <br /> <br />which is erected, placed or maintained in. violation of this <br /> <br />article in any: zoning district." <br /> <br />SECI'ION 4. <br /> <br />Section 3.94 of said Code is hereby amended to <br />i <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />read as follo....'ls: <br /> <br />"Section 3.94 <br /> <br />No sign shall be attached to, anchored <br /> <br />in, supported by any structure or pole placed on or otherwise <br /> <br />located on or allowed to extend to public property, except <br /> <br />as otherwise provided in this section, unless a revocable <br /> <br />permit to do so is first obtained from the City Council. <br /> <br />"Signs supported entirely on private property may extend <br /> <br />up to four feet into a public right of way; provided, that <br /> <br />in no event shall any sign be permitted to extend within <br /> <br />three feet of any portion of a public right of way used <br /> <br />principally for vehicular traffic unless such sign is main- <br /> <br />tained solely within private property. <br /> <br />"Portions of signs extending into a public rig:1t of \vay <br /> <br />shall have a minimum vertical clearance of ten feet between <br /> <br />the bottom of the sign or its supporting structure &nd the <br /> <br />surface of the ground or sidewalk below, except t:;z~ a <br /> <br />:.~rsuee sign shall have a minimum vertical clearance of <br /> <br />-3- <br />
