<br />The term of office for each member shall be two <br /> <br /> <br />years. The three members appointed to the terms com- <br /> <br /> <br />mencing January 1, 1966, shall continue in office until <br /> <br /> <br />December 31, 1967. The two members appointed to the <br /> <br /> <br />vacancies occurring January 1, 1967, shall hold office <br /> <br /> <br />until December 31, 1968. <br /> <br /> <br />"SECTION 2.111. The primary objective of the <br /> <br /> <br />Veterans Memorial Commission shall be to maintain, <br /> <br /> <br />operate and administer the Veterans Memorial Building <br /> <br />for the purpose of providing meeting places and social <br /> <br /> <br />facilities for veterans patriotic, fraternal and <br /> <br /> <br />benevolent associations. <br /> <br />"SECTION 2.112. To achieve the objectives of the <br /> <br /> <br />Veterans Memorial Commission as set out in the preceding <br /> <br /> <br />section, its powers and duties shall be as follows: <br /> <br />(a) To have charge of allocating the rooms, lockers <br /> <br />and other facilities of the Veterans Memorial Building <br /> <br /> <br />and to make rules and regulations in connection with the <br /> <br /> <br />operation and use of the building by veterans patriotic, <br /> <br /> <br />fraternal and benevolent associations; providing, however, <br /> <br /> <br />such rules may permit the use of such facilities by other <br /> <br /> <br />than veterans organizations so long as such use does not <br /> <br /> <br />interfere with the accustomed, usual and ordinary enjoy- <br /> <br /> <br />ment thereof by veterans. <br /> <br /> <br />(b) To recommend to the City Manager the acquisition <br /> <br />of additional facilities and equipment in connection with <br /> <br /> <br />the Veterans Memorial Building. <br /> <br /> <br />(c) To recommend to the City Manager matters pertaining <br /> <br /> <br />to the repair and maintenance of the Veterans Memorial <br /> <br />- 3 - <br /> <br />"""J.J.-";;:; ~J..L""..,-..L.l:"'o."""v,""" "'~V~J."'''''''\;;;t;J, "-io.l....'-" .........\:; ~^l:''i;;.l.L\...oL.J.'''"y,L.'Ii;w V..L.
