Cleanouts located under <br />cover plates shall be so installed as to provide the <br />clearances and accessibility required by this section. <br />II '(g) Each cleanout in piping two inches or less <br />in size shall be so installed that there is a clearance <br />of not less than 12 inches in front of the cleanout. <br />Cleanouts in piping larger than two inches shall have <br />a clearance of not less than l8 inches in front of <br />the cleanout. Cleanouts in underfloor piping shall be <br />extended to or above the finished floor or shall be <br />extended outside the building when there is less than <br />l8 inches vertical and 30 inches horizontal clearance <br />from the means of access to such cleanout. No under- <br />floor cleanout in any residential occupancy shall be <br />located more than 20 feet from an access door, trap <br />door or crawl hole. <br />II I (h) Cleanout fittings shall be not less in <br />size than that given in Table 2-3. <br />III (i) An approved type of two way cleanoutfitting <br />acceptable to the Administrative Authority, installed <br />outside of a building at the lower end of a building <br />drain and extended accessibly above grade, may be <br />substituted for an upper terminal cleanout.
