RESOLUTION 14741 ESTABLISHING AN APPROPRIATION REPRESENTING <br />ANTICIPATED GRANT REVENUE FROM THE 2002 RESOURCES BOND ACT GRANT <br />AND ADDING ANTICIPATED GRANT REVENUE INTO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />PROGRAM BUDGET FOR APPROPRIATION <br />6.3 Section — Claims and Warrants <br />A. Approve warrants dated through October 9, 2006 and usual and necessary <br />payments through October 23, 2006. (303) MINUTE ORDER 06 -204 <br />7. STAFF REPORTS <br />A. Approval of Revised Striping Plan to add Bicycle Lanes on Industrial Way <br />Council comments included providing information in advance of striping to those <br />affected. <br />Public Comment: <br />Billy James, member of the working group, urged adoption of the recommendation <br />as reported. He thanked various staff members and stated that the reason he <br />became active in the group began with his participation in PACT. <br />Joe LeClair, member of the working group, thanked Mayor Pierce and staff. He <br />stated that there are a number of opportunities for improving both bicycle and <br />pedestrian access and mobility given the challenges in the area. He urged <br />adoption of the staff recommendation thanking both Rich Haygood and Gary <br />Bonte. <br />Adrian Brandt, member of the working group, expressed thanks for the opportunity <br />to experience early success to help bolster the group's enthusiasm and begin to <br />demonstrate other areas to be worked on throughout the city. He further stated <br />that the project makes the road better for all users with traffic flowing smoothly <br />and encouraged staff recommendation approval. <br />John Langbein complimented staff for being proactive and offering three options <br />with the recommended option being a good compromise that accommodates all <br />users and allows cyclists to link from south.
