The $5 million cost of the fields conversion project, including the fees
for this design effort, are included in the Water Financing Plan approved by the Council
in January 2006. Furthermore, the project is supplemented by Capital Improvement
Program funds.

Listed below are the six (6) potential fields identified by the Task Force Report, eligible
for conversion to synthetic turf, in order to permanently eliminate the need for irrigation
water on the play surface:

1. McGarvey Field
2. Griffen-Bechet Field
3. Mitchell Field
4. Hawes Park
5. Marlin Park
6. Sandpiper Park

The potential water saving, after converting these six natural grass fields to synthetic
turf fields, is approximately 95 acre-feet per year, or enough water to supply 350
average households for a year.

The conversion of the first three fields (McGarvey, Griffin-Bechet, and Mitchell) is
underway and should be completed by the middle of 2007. The Hawes Park
conversion is slated to be combined with the renovation of the bleachers, in order to

"'.'-."--'....--'-.' ...... -..--..--r------... ...-_.
