<br />Renewal applications shall be accompanied by a fee of Twelve <br />and 50/100 Dollars ($12.50) if filed prior to expiration of <br /> <br />the prior permit. <br />"Section 6.10. Every application shall be investigated <br /> <br />by the City Clerk within 60 days and he shall issue the permit <br /> <br />only if he determines that all other applicable laws and <br /> <br />ordinances will be complied with and if he finds that the <br /> <br />applicant's business responsibility is satisfactory. An <br /> <br />adverse finding may be appealed to the City Council in writing <br /> <br />within 30 days after denial of any application. <br /> <br />The permit shall be issued for a period terminating on <br /> <br />the next succeeding June 30th and shall thereafter be renewed <br /> <br />for successive l2 month periods. <br /> <br />"Section 6.ll. Every auction house shall conduct its <br /> <br />operation in strict accordance with the following provisions: <br /> <br />(a) All books, records and accounts of every auction <br />house shall be kept on the premises where the <br />auction business is conducted and shall be open <br />for inspection by any representative of the City <br />during all regular business hours. <br /> <br />(b) No bells or other loud or noisy devices shall be <br />employed for the purpose of attracting attention <br />to any auction sale. <br /> <br />(c) No merchandise shall be offered for sale at auction <br />during any calendar day unless said merchandise has <br />been on display on the auction premises for at least <br />one full business day preceding such sale. <br /> <br />(d) It shall be unlawful to sell or offer for sale in <br />any public auction house the following property: <br />Jewelry, drugs, food and groceries. <br /> <br />(e) No auction shall be held except within a building <br />and no merchandise shall be displayed, stored, or <br />otherwise located outside the building in which <br />the auction house is located. <br /> <br />"Section 6.l2. The securing of an auction house permit <br /> <br />for any premise shall not relieve any auctioneer from com- <br /> <br />plying with the provisions of Division 2 of this article." <br /> <br />SECTION 5.
