<br />.. <br /> <br />in violation of this article if the owner of the property <br /> <br /> <br />on which such sign is erected fails to remove such sign after <br /> <br /> <br />24 hours written notice to do so. In addition, the Building <br /> <br /> <br />Inspector may summarily, without notice, remove any sign, <br /> <br />including temporary signs, which is erected, placed or <br /> <br /> <br />maintained in violation of this article in any R zoning <br /> <br />district. " <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 3. sections 3.l2l through 3.l25, inclusive, of the <br /> <br /> <br />Code of the City of Redwood City are hereby amended to read as <br /> <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />"Section 3.121 No sign, except those signs described <br /> <br /> <br />in Section 3.84, shall be permitted in any RB, R-l or R-2 <br /> <br /> <br />zoning district. <br /> <br /> <br />"No sign, except (a) those signs described in Section 3.84 <br /> <br /> <br />and (b) a single sign for each street frontage not exceeding <br /> <br /> <br />four square feet in area and denoting only the name of a <br /> <br /> <br />building or the names and professions of the occupants of <br /> <br /> <br />a building, shall be permitted in any RG, R-3, R-4, R-5 or <br /> <br /> <br />AG zoning district. The sign permitted by (b) may, with <br /> <br /> <br />respect to apartment houses containing more than four dwelling <br /> <br /> <br />units, be increased by one square foot for each dwelling unit <br /> <br /> <br />in excess of four but shall not exceed a maximum area of 30 <br /> <br /> <br />square feet. <br /> <br /> <br />"Section 3.l22 The aggregate area of all signs placed <br /> <br /> <br />or maintained on any non-residentially zoned parcel of real <br /> <br /> <br />property in one ownership shall not exceed the maximum area <br /> <br /> <br />established as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />II (a) In CA, CN, CB, PO, CP, IP, IR and TP Districts, <br /> <br /> <br />the maximum allowable area shall be computed as being one <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br />r <br />
