NAN C ~ N O. l:Lj:) ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 20.ll7, 20.96.5 AND 20.96.l9 OF, AND ADDING SECTIONS 20.130, 20.l3l AND 20.132.1 THROUGH 20.132.21 TO, THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELAT- ING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF PARKING METER ZONES AND THE TIME AND RATE OF SCHEDULES THEREFOR THE COUNCIL OF HEDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION l. Section 20.ll7 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 20.ll7 (a) Parking meter zones in streets and public rights of way shall be as established in this division. II (b) Parking meter zones in publicly controlled parking lots shall be established by resolution of the Council. II (c) The City Manager shall cause parking meters to be installed in all parking meter zones, shall cause parking spaces to be designated and shall cause the time limitations to be designated on the parking meters or by appropriate signs posted in proximity to the meters. It SECTION 2. Section 20.130 is hereby added to the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: "Section 20.130 Pursuant to the provisions of Section 22508 of the Vehicle Code, parking meter zones, the maximum period of parking permitted within each zone, and the rate of fees shall be as established by the following sections for on-street parking. Notwithstanding the estab- lishment of a general meter zone, such specific parking regulations as are, or may be, established pursuant to this chapter or the Vehicle Code within specific portions of any meter zone, including curb markings and parking prohibitions, shall be given full effect. UMeter rates shall be in effect from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. of each day except Sundays and holidays unless otherwise provided."
