<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />DES:djk /03/90 <br />DES:djk u4/05/90R <br />APR - 9 1990 <br /> <br />11258 <br /> <br />(045/26) <br />ORIGiNAL <br /> <br />N o. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SPECIFIC WORK OR IMPROVEMENT TO <br />BE PERFORMED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES <br />BASED ON DETAILED ESTIMATES <br /> <br />(FORMER MAIN LIBRARY BUILDING AND CITY HALL REMODELING) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Department of General Services in conjunction <br /> <br />with the Department of Community Development has prepared <br /> <br />detailed estimates for remodeling the former Main Library <br /> <br />building and portions of City Hall to accommodate the offices of <br /> <br />the Building, Engineering, and Planning Divisions of the <br /> <br />Department of Community Development; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to authorize the Department of <br /> <br />General Services to execute such work or improvement of <br /> <br />remodeling directly pursuant to the provisions of Section 67 of <br /> <br />the Charter of the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />I. The Department of General Services is hereby authorized <br /> <br />and directed, pursuant to the provisions of Section 67 of the <br /> <br />Charter of the City of Redwood City, to execute directly the work <br /> <br />and improvement of remodeling the former Main Library building <br /> <br />and portions of the City Hall in accordance with the detailed <br /> <br />estimates for such work prepared by the Departments of Community <br /> <br />Development and General Services as set forth in that certain <br /> <br />Report to the Honorable Mayor and City Council from the City <br /> <br />Manager dated April 3, 1990; provided, however, that those <br /> <br />portions of said work or improvement which require the purchase <br />
