<br />8. Task Force Membership

<br />1. Proposed Structure
<br />
<br />a) The City Council proposed a broad-based Task Force with 17-23
<br />members to be appointed by the City Council (with the advice and
<br />support from the facilitator). The City Council was to include
<br />residents from all neighborhoods in Redwood City, with differing
<br />opinions on trees and differing level of experience dealing with trees
<br />in Redwood City.
<br />
<br />b) People interested in serving on the Task Force were asked to
<br />submit an application to the City Clerk's office by February 13, 2006.
<br />Mayor Barbara Pierce and Council Member Ian Bain met to review
<br />the applications and prepare a slate of proposed Task Force
<br />members to recommend to the City Council for approval. On
<br />February 28, 2006, the City Council approved the Task Force
<br />members and alternates.

<br />2. Initial Membership
<br />
<br />Initial Members:
<br />From 99 applications, the City Council selected the following twenty-five
<br />(25) people to serve on the Task Force: Paul Adrian, Gary Armstrong,
<br />Linda Beroldo, Chris Bush, Matthew Castagnola, Robert Comely, Derby
<br />Davidson, Gary Dean, Karen Donnelly, Catherine Dupuy, Forest Elliot,
<br />Alan Helfen, Michael Hendricksen, Matthew Leddy, Lisa Maldonado,
<br />Mary Mortenson, Arlene Nichols, Isila Oliver, Maria Smith, Genaro
<br />Solorio, Nita Spangler, Kimberly Sullivan, Jane Taylor, William
<br />Warhurst, and Marlene Zobayan. Their were also 5 alternates selected:
<br />Adrian Brandt, Carole Haythornewhite, Naomi Hernandez, Jeff Kravitz,
<br />and Jeanette Thompson.

<br />At its first meeting, the Task Force voted to allow the alternates to
<br />participate in the Task Force as full voting members.

<br />Voting membership consisted of the following 17 people at its last
<br />meeting: Paul Adrian, Chris Bush, Derby Davidson, Karen Donnelly,
<br />Forest Elliot, Michael Hendricksen, Carole Haythornewhite, Matthew
<br />Leddy, Lisa Maldonado, Mary Mortenson, Arlene Nichols, Isila Oliver,
<br />Nita Spangler, Jane Taylor, Jeanette Thompson, and William Warhurst.
