The resolution acknowledges <br />that the Redevelopment Agency applied for and was awarded Caltrans funding and that <br />the Redevelopment Agency will provide the required local match of ten percent (one- <br />half may be in-kind and one-half must be local funding). <br /> <br />The Environmental Justice Grant will produce the Fair Oaks Access and Improvement <br />Study for Community Mobility as a result of participation from Fair Oaks residents and <br />community leaders to identify and recommend improvement options to create <br />pedestrian and bicycle-friendly streets, including safe access across Woodside Road in <br />the vicinity of the Woodside I Middlefield Road intersection and identifying key routes <br />linking Downtown with the Fair Oaks area. The Study is expected to commence <br />summerlfall 2007 after the completion of the request for qualification process to select a <br />consultant to perform the study. At the conclusion of the study, the Agency will seek <br />capital funding opportunities to implement the desired design solutions. <br /> <br />Fiscal Impact <br />Of the total project cost of $170,000, Caltrans will provide a $153,000 grant that is <br />reimbursable to the Agency.
