CONSULTANT RFQ, SELECTION & STARTUP <br /> <br />Task 1: Consultant Request for Qualification (RFQ) <br />Task 1.1: <br />. City will issue RFQ to select a qualified urban landscape architecture I transportation <br />planning firm with experience using Crime Prevention through Environmental Design <br />(CPTED) principles and working in low income, minority urban areas. <br /> <br />Deliverable <br />Prepare RFQ and select consultant team <br /> <br />Documentation <br />Copy of the RFQ and consultant contract <br /> <br />B. RESEARCH <br /> <br />Task 2: Start up and base materials-data collection and field reconnaissance <br />Task 2.1: <br />. City staff will meet with consultant to relay pertinent information and supply consultant <br />with data and documents. <br />Task 2.2: <br />. Consultant will train city staff on the Crime Prevention through Environmental Design <br />(CPTED) principle. <br />Task 2.3: <br />. COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND MARKETING <br />Task 3: Community Outreach and Marketing <br />Task 3.1: <br />. City staff and consultant will have dialogues and gather input at places where residents <br />and businesses regularly gather, including churches, schools and neighborhood <br />associations <br />
