<br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />Engineering Aide - Administrative (Continued) <br /> <br />Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with contractors. engineers, <br />construction inspectors, architects, the staff of the Finance Department and <br />the City Attorney's Office. <br /> <br />Prepare correspondence and reports; maintain accurate records. <br /> <br />Identify conformance/non-conformance to specifications in construction <br />projects. <br /> <br />Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing. <br /> <br />Physical Characteristics: <br /> <br />Must be in sufficiently good health to perform job tasks. <br /> <br />Experience and Education <br /> <br />Any combination of experience and education that would likely provde the <br />required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the <br />knowledge and abilities would be: <br /> <br />Experience <br /> <br />Two years experience as an engineering aide in contract administration <br />and construction supervision. <br /> <br />Education <br /> <br />Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by <br />specialized courses in engineering, mathematics, surveying, or related <br />subjects. An Associate of Arts degree is desirable. <br />
